November 2025: direct messages built and pulled within the month, and AI insights become actionable recommendations
Direct messages were built out — then pulled before month's end. Over the first three weeks of November, DMs got a real build-out: a dedicated page with org-user search, pinning, replies, file attachments, and emoji reactions. But on November 24-25, two PRs commented DMs out of the product ("comment out DMs" and a follow-up that removed it site-wide), and nothing in the rest of November's merge history re-enables it — December's PR data doesn't mention DMs either. Why isn't explained in the merge history; flagging it as built-then-withdrawn rather than shipped.
AI insights turned into recommendations you can act on. Insights gained a recommendations layer — the system suggests actions, and users can execute, update, or dismiss them, with a worker running in the background to generate new ones and a command to trigger it manually. An org switcher was added to the Insights page (with a bugfix shortly after) so users can move between organizations without losing their place, and insights themselves gained ordering, filtering by status, and error visibility when an action fails to run.
Meeting transcripts got better speaker attribution. A human-in-the-loop workflow lets people correct who said what in a transcript, backed by an editable speaker-tags interface and speaker-mapping data saved back to the transcript in S3 — addressing the classic "who's talking" problem in auto-generated transcripts.
Also shipped: a static Google Calendar webhook endpoint plus refreshed webhook responses, and soft-delete support for calendar event instances.
