July 2026: Glass Office and the Workforce dashboard launch, and agents get memory and skills

Glass Office turned the AI workforce into a visible place. July built a spatial office interface where each AI agent has a desk: person cards show real workloads and live work, agents can be hired from an empty desk, rooms can be dragged and rearranged, and the office grew corridors, materials, and shell structure over the month. It layered in ambient presence (agent "thoughts," a day replay time-lapse, a live work-log terminal), draggable side-panel windows, and a people directory for jumping to anyone on the floor.

The Workforce dashboard replaced the old admin surfaces. A new "Your AI staff, live" dashboard shipped in phases — shell, parity move, then retiring the legacy agent/office/skill pages entirely — with honest running-status tracking (distinguishing "waiting to be seated" from "unresponsive") and seat management tying an agent's dashboard record to its actual assignment.

Agents gained memory and a skills system. Zunou Memory shipped as a full addressable facts layer (API, MCP tool, skill, and UI). Alongside it, a multi-phase "skilling" system rolled out: a default skill catalog, notebooks, instruction modes, an approval queue for proposals, and training controls — the mechanics behind an agent learning a procedure and having it reviewed before it sticks.

Also shipped: on-device transcription and speaker diarization with voiceprint enrollment for Nova, a continuity ledger surfacing an agent's recent actions in both the dashboard and its own tools, and several rounds of dashboard sidebar redesign.
