January 2025: bringing meetings into the workspace
Historical Chronicle — month 1
The month's biggest push: connecting Fireflies meeting data into Zunou — turning a call you had into something the workspace can actually use, not a recording that lives somewhere else and gets forgotten. That meant building the pieces to pull a meeting in, save it as a real data source, see its details, and manage which ones you keep or discard. For a team that wants its meetings to feed into the same place as everything else it works on, that's the connective tissue.
Alongside it, four other threads of work:
- Notifications, made usable — not just a list, but context, a proper toast UI, and a policy fix so notifications tell you what actually matters.
- AI that knows you a bit better — an analytics dashboard, personalized AI responses, message starters, and formatted reports — steps toward Zunou's AI feeling less generic and more like it's working with you.
- Organizations, run properly — creating and inviting into an org, cleaning up what's no longer needed. The basics of a real multi-person workspace.
- Saved messages and the plumbing underneath — keeping what matters, plus signup and email verification work that makes getting a team in the door painless.
About a third of January's 139 merged PRs went through the release-train process that ships code to production — meaning this wasn't just exploratory work, it was headed out the door.
