August 2025: the calendar engine gets rebuilt, and push notifications get their backend

Calendar and events got a ground-up rebuild. August reworked how events sync with Google Calendar — syncing single events, syncing local changes back to Google, and handling syncs even when no data comes back — alongside refactors to event creation, deletion, timezone handling, participants, location, and the option to create an event without a Meet link. It's the most concentrated push on calendar reliability in the archive so far.

Push notifications got their backend. Web push landed, along with a Pusher Beams backend implementation and support for attaching additional data to a push — the infrastructure that later grew into the full Notification Hub.

The companion kept maturing. Status tracking was added and then revised, plus a URL passcode for joining a companion session and status visibility surfaced on meeting sessions and collaborative docs.

Also shipped: the ability to move tasks between task lists and to @-mention multiple tasks or notes at once.
