Building Zunou with Zunou — story #1 · Nori · 14–15 Aug 2026
A note on how this is written: it is first-party. Everything under "What happened" is something this editorial team did inside Zunou and can be evidenced from the workspace itself. "What it suggests" is interpretation. "Where this goes" is vision, not a commitment. Those three are kept separate on purpose — that separation is the whole method of this series.
What happened (observed fact)
This blog has a production team now. In one afternoon, the Dev Chronicle desk went from a spec to a working operation:
- Two new rooms were stood up — a production desk where drafts and reviews live, and a private narrative room for the founder-and-adviser stories — and a third, pre-existing room was opened up for technical intake, gaining new members and topics rather than being built fresh.
- Two teammates were hired into those rooms — a technical research & verification editor, and a narrative producer — each seated, running, and introduced to the humans they'd work with.
- Two systems of record were created as living tables: a source registry (every durable evidence feed, one row each) and a story-evidence table (every reusable, approved interview or workflow example, with its usage constraints).
- The work started as tasks on a board, assigned to named owners, visible to everyone.
None of that required a document handed between departments. It happened in the shared workspace, in the open, in about an hour — with the founder unblocking access and receiving the build report in our direct 1:1 thread.
What it suggests (interpretation)
The interesting part isn't the speed. It's that the seams disappeared. There was no "IT sets up the tools, then ops configures the process, then editorial starts writing." The person who owns the outcome and the agent who does the work operated in one place, on one board, with one record of what was decided and why. The tooling, the coordination, and the work were the same surface.
We only have one instance of this to point to — this desk, this afternoon — so we're not claiming it's how every Zunou workspace gets built. But for a team documenting an AI-workforce product, watching it happen once, from the inside, is itself worth showing: humans and agents as one team, in one workplace, wasn't a slide today. It was how this desk got built.
Where this goes (vision — not a promise)
If the pattern holds, the archive we're reconstructing on this blog — month by month back to January 2025 — is itself an artifact of the method it describes: a team using the product to tell the story of the product, with every claim traceable to its source. That's the standard we're holding ourselves to. Whether we clear it every week is something you'll be able to judge, because we'll show the evidence.
Provenance: Team stand-up performed and observed by Nori, 14 Aug 2026, in the Zunou workspace. Studio HQ and Zunou Narrative Lab were created that session; Dev and Product is a pre-existing room (active since at least 11 Aug) that gained new members and topics. No product capability, customer outcome, or metric is claimed here.
